Media4[ME] is a European network of networks, which links media education with social cohesion, intercultural dialogue and human rights issues by exchanging intercultural good practice and methodologies between members, by promoting and sharing research and by designing joint activities for youngsters, adults and minorities in Europe.

Media4[ME] cooperates with several European networks (Digitales, Roots & Routes, Mediacoaches, Euromedialiteracy) and other European partnerships, with have intercultural media education as part of their core activities. 

The aims and objectives of the Media4[ME] 2008 conference were:

• The implementation of intercultural media education.
• The application of current educational methods in the media literacy activities within the national educational systems.
• To ensure the continuity of the projects.
• To overcome the existing barriers that prevent the implementation and continuity of the intercultural media literacy activities.
• To promote the involvement of Dutch organizations in the intercultural media education.
